Our  Process

Furniture Cleaning

Does the fabric on your furniture look dingy and dirty? Do you have stubborn stains that won’t come out? The Atlantic1 team offers the best furniture cleaning and protection process, and we can clean almost any fabric, including those pesky, hard to clean materials. And our process closely follows the guidelines set by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (I.I.C.R.C.), cleaning and restoring fabrics by:

  • Inspecting the furniture and gauging any stains
  • Letting you know what to expect from the cleaning
  • Preconditioning the fabric to loosen the dirt and any stains
  • Removing soil and moisture after a textile rinse
  • Drying fabric with high-powered air movers, and brushing cut pile fabrics to leave them like new

Furniture Stain Removal

With thousands of different fabrics, and even more types of possible stains, removing stains is a delicate science, especially since there isn’t a universal compound or solution to treat every stain. The majority can be eliminated with quick treatment and the right balance of chemicals. Leaving a stain too long or using the wrong chemicals can make an easy stain removal a nightmare process. Call the Atlantic1 team to make your furniture cleaning appointment today!

The tag on my sofa says "Dry Clean Only" Can you still clean it?
Many manufactures use this type of label on their upholstered products to keep them from being liable for problems that may occur during the cleaning process. Professional cleaners know that with knowledge, experience, proper cleaning agents, and advanced equipment they can clean the majority of fabrics that are labeled "dry clean only" Your Atlantic1 technicians will evaluate your couch or sofa and notify you if your furnishings should be dry-cleaned only.

How long will it take my couch to dry?
Atlantic1 uses superior truck-mounted equipment with unrivaled vacuum power to remove most of the water used during the cleaning process. Following the cleaning, high speed air movers are used to speed up the drying time. Our cleaning process and professional equipment allows us to achieve drying times typically between 1-3 hours, but this depends on the type of fabric and its level of soiling.

Can You Clean Auto and Marine Upholstery?
At Atlantic1, we clean lots of Auto and Marine Upholstery, and we can clean yours on site. Many of the spots and spills we find in auto and marine carpet and upholstery can be completely removed with our cleaning process.
